SYSTEMAIR PKI-C is a fire butterfly valve manufactured by Systemair. They are intended to be fire shut-off valves for ventilation ducts and to be installed on the location where the channel passes through the fire partition, or at the end of the channel. In case of fire the valves functions as a fire-closing element for up to 120 minutes fire resistance.

The fire valves may only be used in places protected from weather influences and only in ventilation ducts who carry air without any mechanical or chemical pollution, in the following circumstances:

  • Maximum air speed 12 m/s
  • Maximum air humidity of 90%
  • Temperatures between -10 and +65 °C

All fire butterfly valves are equipped with a thermal fuse link which activates the springs and thus does close the damper blades at a temperature of about 72 °C with a ± 1,5 °C. On request fusible links are available with a higher melting temperature.
